What and amazing day at Mohonk for and engagement session! …and for the brides to be that are reading this, please remember that photographers need TIME to get all the hits. This engagement shoot with Kristel and Mickey is a perfect example. No one was rushed, and we went all over- far more than this blog even shows. The pics below were taken in exactly an hour, and there are well over 200 more for this awesome couple. I must say though that this past Sunday was a perfect day: overcast, then sunny, and no humidity. The flowers were at full bloom and it was perhaps the best I’ve ever seen Mohonk. Their wedding will take place a year from now, and Natalie and I can’t wait!!!
Most weddings at the Venetian in NJ are big, and this is no exception! I’ve been friends with Tiz for a few years now, and Natalie even longer. So as much as we wanted to be guests at this amazing wedding, we simply couldn’t be because we were shooting it.. But we did have fun! The day started with a horse and carriage, girls prep, boys prep, butterfly prep, church, horse and carriage again, butterfly release, a castle for photos, Venetian, indoor sparklers, Sicilian dancers, reception, Viennese Vienesse, hour, then finally hotel- which we learned to NEVER use the iPhone maps, it stinks! Anyway, it was a great day, perhaps my longest wedding day every, and the 29 bridal party worked out better than we thought! Big shout out to Heidi and Jeff of I Do Movies, who once again rocked it, and sorry for sooooo many photos, but just couldn’t help it.
What the hell took NY State so long!!! Natalie and I have photographed a few LGBT weddings, and look forward to many more. Matt and Ryan’s day at the Tarrytown Estate was simply perfect. Every single person who attended the wedding was so excited for them- you felt the energy in the room. Live music by ETA Music, rocked the house, and here are some of the hits from the evening:
Kristen and Ruben’s wedding at Round Hill House was a party all day long! Natalie was lucky enough to shoot their engagement session last fall, and we both had equally as much fun shooting their wedding. Kristen had a pink dress, and they had a sparkler exit at the end. Their adorable dog Nacho was there and walked down the aisle, and was very attentive during the ceremony. These two are such a great couple, and they have amazing family and friends supporting them. Their day was filled with love, laughter, and a lot of partying, and I feel so privileged to have been their to photograph it all… Shout out to our good friends Heidi and Jeff of I Do Movies, and our little minion Kathleen Gemma!
